What is NF? Neurofibromatosis encompasses a set of distinct genetic disorders that cause tumors to grow along various types of nerves and, in addition, can affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. Neurofibromatosis causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body.

Kendall was diagnosed with NF at 2 months of age. She has had to undergo chemo because the NF caused ganglioneuroblastoma around her bladder. Kendall faces many challenges in her future, including living without a bladder.   Kendall will only have a few years before her tumors start to grow back. We need to do everything in our power to make sure this does not happen. 

There currently is no treatment to shrink tumors from NF.  There are many studies being done, but unfortunately nothing has been successful.   More funding is needed for this genetic disorder.  1 in every 3500 babies are born with this.
