Team "My Last Nerve" - MS Fundraiser
In November 2010, after 15 months of neurologist visits, 2 MRI's, a spinal tap, and a bout with Optic Neuritis (temporary blindness in one eye), I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After taking a little time to accept the diagnosis, I told my 5 children and then the extended family. Informing the people that you love that you have a progressive illness that has no cure is not an easy thing to do.
My MS is currently under control with the help of daily injected medication. I am determined to do whatever I can to keep this MonSter at bay as long as possible. The trouble with MS is that there is no way to predict what course it will take. Every day is a little different, and every persons journey is different.
I started fundraising almost immediately, as you can see the MS Awareness page here on the website. I also was surrounded by the support of my family and friends who walked with me in the 2011 MS Walk in Indianapolis. Team My Last Nerve was 83 strong and raised an astounding $8500!!!
This year, the team goal is to raise $10,000! We are accepting donations through the walk website, but are also doing many other things to raise money. One of those things is selling my jewelry designs.
I will donate 40% of the sales from this page, (below are some of my personal favorites) or other pages on the site if they are not already earmarked as a fundraiser to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Just be sure to mention Team My Last Nerve when you check out so I know where to credit the funds.

Make A Wish Necklace
What do you wish for?? This charm is a The Silver Dragonfly exclusive design and features a dandelion with the words "Make A Wish". When you blow the seeds from the dandelion your wish is supposed to come true. Before you place this pendant around your neck, close your eyes, blow the seeds and state your wish.
Back of charm can be stamped with your wish, just put it in the special instructions during check-out.
Each charm is handcrafted one piece at a time.

This design is a The Silver Dragonfly exclusive design. It features a field of wild flowers each with an orange crystal in the center. Orange is the adopted color of awareness for MS.
